Warranty Terms
1. Products sold by Samsung Electronics Latinoamerica are warranted against manufacturing defects in material and labor for the limited warranty period specified for each product.
2. Samsung Electronics Latinoamerica will commit to repair the defective product without any additional charge, during the term of validity of the warranty, in case it fails in normal situations of usage and according to what is stablished in the user manual. Manuals & Downloads.
3. The one who is beneficiary of the warranty is the original buyer and the successive acquirer during the period before mentioned, always count with the warranty card corresponding to the acquired product in which consist of the buying date. Download the Warranty Card.
4. Any intervention by our Authorized Service Center Network, carried out at the request of the buyer within the warranty period, that is not caused by any failure or defect covered by this certificate, must be paid by the interested party according to the current rate. Warranty Conditions
1. The customer, whose name is shown in the invoice, must present the product's proof of purchase and this warranty certificate.
2. SAMSUNG will repair during its warranty period any product that malfunctions under normal operation, used according to the user manual instructions and the purpose they were designed for.
3. Warranty cannot be assigned or transferred.
4. Installation, support and usage explanation expenses are not covered by any warranty. Therefore the customer is totally responsible for them.
Situations that void this Warranty Coverage
1. The customer does not present a copy of the purchase invoice.
2. Warranty certificate information is incomplete or changed.
3. The warranty period has expired.
4. The serial numbers have been changed or removed from the product.
5. Non-authorized modifications to the products specifications.
6. Damage to the product caused by improper operation or use, by not following user manual instructions or defects caused by external sources, impact, paint cosmetic damage in general, scratches, fissures, evidence of residues of water, sweat or food inside the unit.
7. Damage to the product caused by installation, repairs or reinstallation by non authorized personnel or service centers.
8. Damage to the product caused by shipping or transportation.
9. Damage to the product caused by loss or accident such as fire, voltage fluctuations, vandalism, water, sand insects or similar.
10. Damage to the product caused by forces of nature such as earthquakes, floods, electric storms, etc.
11. The following products are not covered by warranty: batteries, cassettes, speakers, remote controls, accessories, needless and plastic or cosmetic parts.
12. Reduced screen brightness related to normal display tube or lamp aging, or burned in images.
13. Altered or modified products, such as reprogrammed DVD units for multi zone purposes.
Overseas Product Repair (Smartphones, Tablets, Wearable Devices)
Samsung limits service for smartphones, tablets, and wearable devices to the country where the product was first sold.
However, if you need service for a Samsung smartphones, tablets, and wearable device purchased in a country other than the country in which you intend to have your device repaired (or if you need service for Samsung smartphones, tablets, and wearable device), you can contact a Samsung authorized service center to check whether it can be repaired at such service center.
· The limited warranty period of 1 year will apply, regardless of the warranty period of the country where the product was first sold.
· Repair may take longer due to procuring some parts, or service may unavoidably only be available in the country of sale.
· Repair may incur costs if the warranty does not apply, and repair costs vary by country and may differ from those in the country where the product was first sold.
· Returns and refund are only available from the country where the product was first sold.
· Service is not provided outside the country where the product was first sold for accessory products such as battery packs, charging pads, and cases.
